Fitting the FloPlast Universal Compression Chrome Style Tee CW23

Under a wall-hung sink or across a wet room wall, every fitting is on show. This tee lets two wastes join without a white fitting breaking up the run. It suits sinks, baths and showers in 40mm.

Square and deburr each pipe end. Nut first, then seal, then seat the pipe and wind the nut on by hand with a final small turn. Protect the chrome with a cloth rather than using grips.

Make sure both branches fall towards the outlet. Where two appliances drain at once, think about the flow so one does not back up the other.

Compression joints can be undone later, which helps with cleaning and alterations. Chrome clips either side finish the run.

Can a washing machine hose go into the CW23?

Not directly. The tee joins 40mm waste pipe, so an appliance hose needs a proper appliance trap or standpipe first, then the waste pipe can come into the tee.

Which way round does the branch go?

The branch should join so its flow heads towards the outlet, with both pipes falling. Fit it level across the top so water from one side does not run back up the other.
