The Gas Catering Flex Hose connects commercial cookers, fryers and grills to the gas supply, in 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ at 1m, 1.25m and 1.5m long. Yellow covered, with a quick release coupling. Sold at Plumb Parts in Glasgow.

The Gas Catering Flex Hose connects commercial catering equipment to the gas supply, in 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ bore and 1m to 1.5m long. It suits gas engineers fitting out restaurants, takeaways and catering vans.
Where it goes
It runs from the gas point on the wall to a cooker, range, fryer, grill or pizza oven. The quick release coupling lets kitchen staff pull the appliance out for cleaning, and a restraint cable takes the strain.

Fitting tips
Match the bore to the appliance inlet and gas demand, not just the pipe size on the wall. Choose a length that lets the appliance come out without the hose pulling tight or lying on the floor. Fit the restraint cable to the wall and appliance, and leak test every joint. Gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
