Geberit Mapress Gas Copper Tee Female Thread 15mm to 28mm

The Geberit Mapress Gas Copper Tee Female Thread takes a threaded branch off a copper run, with press sockets on the run and a female (Rp) thread on the branch. Use it to put a drain cock, gauge, sensor or valve straight into a run. We sell it in 15mm x 15mm x 1/2″, 22mm x 22mm x 1/2″, 22mm x 22mm x 3/4″, 28mm x 28mm x 1/2″ and 28mm x 28mm x 3/4″, all genuine Geberit stock.

Mapress Copper gas fittings have a yellow HNBR seal ring and yellow marking, so they are easy to tell from the water range on site. They are made for natural gas and LPG on copper tube to EN 1057. Like the water range, a joint that has not been pressed leaks under test, so a missed one shows up before the supply is turned on. Gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

How are the sizes written? The copper tube size comes first in mm, then the thread size in inches, so 22mm x 3/4″ takes 22mm tube and a 3/4 inch thread.

Can I use Mapress water fittings on gas? No. Only the gas range with the yellow seal and marking is made for gas. Water fittings have a black seal and are not approved for gas.

Who can fit it? A Gas Safe registered engineer, who must carry out a tightness test before the supply goes back into use.
