Description

Gentle offsets on stainless pipework are made with the Geberit Mapress 316 Stainless Steel 45 Deg Elbow. It presses onto Mapress stainless tube at both ends, so you change direction without welding or threading.

About the Geberit Mapress 316 Stainless Steel 45 Deg Elbow

Stainless press systems turn up in hospitals, food premises, labs and plant rooms, where clean water and long life matter. A 45 degree elbow lets you step round a column, duct or beam with less flow resistance than a pair of 90s. Two 45s with a short piece between them make a neat offset.

  • Sizes: 15mm, 22mm, 28mm, 35mm, 42mm and 54mm
  • 316 Stainless steel body
  • Press socket on each end
  • For Mapress 316 stainless steel system pipe

Cut stainless tube with a cutter or saw made for it, and avoid grinding discs that burn the cut end. Deburr inside and out so the seal ring is not nicked as the pipe goes in. Mark the full insertion depth, check the seal is seated, and push home. Then press with a tool and jaw approved for Mapress in the right size. Look at the marks after pressing to make sure nothing slid. More elbows, tees and adaptors are in our Geberit Mapress 316 stainless steel category.

Common Questions

Can I press this 45 degree elbow onto copper pipe?

No. Geberit say only Mapress system pipe can be pressed into their stainless fittings. If you need to change to copper or another metal, do it through a threaded joint.

Is it safe on a drinking water system?

Yes. Geberit approve Mapress 316 Stainless Steel for hot and cold drinking water between 0°C and 100°C at up to 16 bar, which covers normal building services.

How do I make an offset with two of them?

Press the first elbow onto the run, cut a length of system pipe to suit the step, and turn the second elbow so the run comes back parallel. Set both angles before pressing, because a pressed joint cannot be turned afterwards.
