Fit the threaded end onto the equipment first, then press onto the pipe after preparing it. Check the union seal is in place and clean before closing it. Common Questions
What is the union nut made of on this version?
The listing does not say. Geberit sell this adaptor with a standard nut and also with a CrNi stainless nut, so if the job needs stainless throughout, choose the C/W SS nut version.
Can I break the union with the system full?
Isolate and drain the section first, because the union holds full system pressure. Once it is depressurised, undo the nut and the equipment comes away.
Does the union need a washer?
Follow the Geberit fitting design and do not add extra sealant to the union faces. Keep them clean and line them up before tightening, so the joint does not weep.
