Connecting a stainless press run to flanged equipment is done with the Geberit Mapress 316 Stainless Steel Flange PN 10/16 Plain End. One side is a flange drilled to PN 10/16; the other is a plain spigot.
Using the Geberit Mapress 316 Stainless Steel Flange PN 10/16 Plain End
Larger valves, pumps, strainers and plant usually have flanged connections. This fitting bolts to that flange, and its plain end pushes into a Mapress socket such as a coupling, elbow or tee. So the flange can sit hard against another fitting, keeping plant connections short.
- 54mm and 76.1mm
- 88.9mm and 108mm
- Flange to PN 10/16 pattern
- Plain end for a Mapress press socket
Check the flange on the equipment is PN 10 or PN 16 before ordering. Bolt the flange up with the correct gasket, bolts and nuts, tightening them evenly in a cross pattern. After that, the spigot gets a depth line, goes fully into its socket and is pressed. Doing the bolted joint first stops the pressed joint taking any strain. Support the pipe near the equipment so the flange is not carrying the run. If you would rather press straight onto tube, there is a pressing socket flange under Geberit Mapress 316 stainless steel.

Common Questions
What does PN 10/16 mean on this Mapress flange? PN is the nominal pressure class in bar. This flange is made to EN 1092-1 for PN 10/16, so it bolts up to a matching PN 10 or PN 16 flange.
Will this flange bolt to both PN10 and PN16 flanges? Yes, it is made to EN 1092-1 to suit a matching PN 10/16 flange. You will still need a gasket between the faces and a set of bolts.
What sizes does the Mapress stainless plain end flange come in? It is made in 54mm, 76.1mm, 88.9mm and 108mm. The plain end goes into the socket of a Mapress stainless press fitting.
What grade of 316 stainless steel is the Mapress flange made from? It is CrNiMo stainless, grade 1.4401, the same as the rest of the Mapress stainless fittings. The molybdenum in it is there to help it hold off corrosion.
How can I tell if the Mapress joint has been pressed? The press fitting socket the plain end goes into has an indicator that shows whether it has been pressed yet, and it is blue on the stainless range. Any joint left unpressed will leak, so it shows up as soon as you pressure test.
