Common Questions

What is a radiator outlet plate?

A plate the pipes pass through once the plasterboard is up, so there are no ragged holes behind the radiator. It gives a neat finish.

Where should pipes come through the wall?

JG suggest a single gang box with grommets at mid height behind the radiator. It also gives other trades a fixed point to work to.

Can I paint the outlet plate?

Use only water or oil based paint on Speedfit parts, as JG advise. Avoid cellulose paints and strippers.
