The 25mm x 15mm and 25mm x 22mm suit most house supplies, going onto the copper rising main. The 20mm x 15mm suits smaller supplies and garden runs. Fit an insert in the MDPE. Cut the copper square, take off the burr and give it a wipe, so the O-ring is not nicked going in. Push each pipe in to the stop, then pull to check. Fit a stop tap close by if there is not one already, so the house can be isolated.

Which connector joins a 25mm supply to a 15mm rising main?

Use the 25mm x 15mm size. If the rising main is 22mm, pick the 25mm x 22mm instead.

Does the copper end of the connector need an insert?

No, copper keeps its shape, so it only needs a square cut, deburring and a wipe. The MDPE end always needs a JG insert.

Where is the 32mm x 28mm connector used?

On bigger properties and small commercial units, where a 32mm MDPE main meets 28mm copper. Fit a stop tap close by so the building can be isolated.
