JG Speedfit Wired Dial Thermostat 230v

A straightforward dial room stat for JG underfloor heating, the JG Speedfit Wired Dial Thermostat 230v keeps things simple. A slide switch picks between automatic, manual and frost settings, and two multi-coloured LEDs show which mode it is in.

Why fit a JG Speedfit wired dial thermostat 230v

Not every room needs a programmable screen. Bedrooms, utility rooms and spare rooms often just want a dial you can turn up or down. This stat can work on its own, or as part of a group so it follows a group controller. You can take it out of the group or put it back with the flick of a switch, which is handy when a room is used differently.

• 230V wired thermostat
• Modes: automatic, manual and frost, on a slide switch
• Two multi-coloured LEDs for mode status
• Colours: white or black

Fit it on an inside wall, about the height of a light switch, away from radiators, sunny windows and draughts. Wire it back to the wiring centre as the JG instructions show. All 230V work must be done by a competent person, with the supply isolated. See the matching controls in our JG Speedfit underfloor heating range.

Common Questions

Does the JG dial thermostat need batteries? No, the JGSTAT1 runs off 230V mains, so there are no batteries to change.

What temperature range does it cover? You can set it anywhere from 5°C to 30°C, and frost mode holds the room at 5°C.

What do the three modes do? Automatic follows the group programme, manual keeps to whatever temperature you set on the dial, and frost holds 5°C. You pick between them with the slide switch.

Can I install the thermostat myself? As it’s a mains-powered stat wired back to the JG wiring centre, the connections should be made by a competent electrician.

Can it be used with radiators? JG list this dial stat for underfloor heating only. For radiators, look at the JG Aura programmable stats.

Where’s the best place to mount a room thermostat? Put it on an inside wall at a comfortable height, clear of radiators, sunny windows, cookers and draughts, so it reads the true room temperature.
