Common Questions

What is a flexible connector in plumbing? It’s a bendy fitting that joins two pipes that don’t quite line up. The FLEXCON3 has a universal connection on each end for waste pipework.

What are flexible couplings used for? They’re handy where two waste pipes are slightly out of line, saving you from having to reroute the run.

What size waste does the FLEXCON3 suit? It’s for 1 1/4 inch (32mm) waste.

What’s the difference between the FLEXCON3 and FLEXCON5? The FLEXCON3 has a universal connection at both ends. The FLEXCON5 has a universal connection on one end and a plain spigot on the other.

How do I install a flexible waste connector? Line up the two pipes as closely as you can, then connect each end of the FLEXCON3 to the pipes on either side. The McAlpine technical drawing on our product page shows the dimensions.
