Getting blue MDPE pipe into a female threaded port is the job of the JG Speedfit MDPE male connector. It is Push-Fit on the pipe end and has a male thread on the other.
What the JG Speedfit MDPE male connector is used for
Screw it into female threaded valves, tank connectors, meter boxes and brass fittings. That makes it useful on a supply to a cattle trough, a garage tap, or an outbuilding with its own stop valve. Because the pipe side is Push-Fit, there are no nuts to tighten in a tight trench.

Thread it into the female port first, using PTFE tape on the male thread. Tighten it firmly but do not lean on plastic threads. Fit an insert in the pipe, cut square, and push the pipe home until it stops. A quick pull confirms the collet has gripped. Test under pressure before covering any pipe.

Can I screw a plastic male connector into a brass tank connector?
Yes, but tighten it gently. Too much force on a plastic thread inside brass can crack it.
