Micropoint Cooker Hose

A Micropoint cooker hose links a freestanding natural gas cooker to a Micropoint wall socket with a plug-in connection. It comes in 3ft 6in and 4ft lengths.

Micropoint cooker hose options

Being plug-in, the hose lets the cooker be unplugged and pulled out to clean behind it. For LPG cookers, use the LPG Micropoint hose instead.

Choose the length from the gap between socket and cooker inlet. The hose should hang in an easy loop, clear of the floor and the back of the oven. The 3ft 6in suits a socket close behind the cooker, while 4ft gives a little more reach.

Any connection must be made by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Fit a stability chain or bracket so the cooker cannot be pulled far enough to stretch the hose. Do not let the hose touch hot surfaces. Inspect it at each service, and replace it if the cover is damaged.

Bayonet and catering hoses are in our gas hoses range.

Common Questions

Is a Micropoint hose for natural gas or LPG?

This one is for natural gas. There is a separate LPG Micropoint hose for bottled or tank gas.

3ft 6in or 4ft Micropoint hose?

The 3ft 6in suits a socket close behind the cooker, and the 4ft gives a little more reach. The hose should loop gently, never pulled tight.

How can I tell if my socket is Micropoint?

Micropoint sockets take a plug-in connector rather than a push-and-twist bayonet. If in doubt, ask the Gas Safe engineer to check before buying.
