MT Draw Off Cock Type A DZR 1/2 inch

For a threaded drain point that will last in hard-wearing conditions, the MT Draw Off Cock Type A DZR is a 1/2″ drain valve made from DZR brass. It screws into a female socket at the low point of the pipework and has a hose outlet for emptying the system.

About the MT Draw Off Cock Type A DZR

DZR brass resists dezincification, the slow loss of zinc that can leave ordinary brass crumbly in some water supplies. So it is the better choice on a cold main, a buried run or anywhere the fitting will sit full of water for a long time.

Wrap the thread with PTFE tape or use jointing compound, then screw it into a 1/2″ female tee, elbow or boss. Point the outlet where a hose can be fitted easily. To drain, push the hose on, run it to a gully and open the spindle with a key or spanner.
