PolyPlumb Socket Blank End 10mm to 28mm

The Polyplumb Socket Blank End is a cap that pushes onto the end of a pipe and seals it shut. It works like any other Polyplumb socket, but with nothing on the far side.

Uses for a Polyplumb Socket Blank End

On first fix, you often run a spur for a tap or radiator that will not go in until later. A blank end lets you fill and test the system with that spur sealed. It is also handy for capping a pipe when an appliance is taken out, or for pressure testing a section before connecting it.

Cut and stiffen the pipe as you would for any other joint, and push the cap fully on. Do not leave a capped pipe where it might get knocked, because a Push Fit cap relies on the pipe being held still. Clip it close to the end. For spigot caps and other parts, see Polyplumb Fittings.
