The Radiator Bleed Key- Clockwise Pattern is a key for letting air out of radiators, in the clockwise pattern style. Check your bleed valve before buying. Plumb Parts in Glasgow sells it.
Made in the clockwise pattern, the Radiator Bleed Key- Clockwise Pattern is a radiator key for bleeding trapped air out of a heating system. It does the same job as a standard key, letting air escape so the radiators heat properly again.
About the clockwise pattern bleed key
Bleed valves and keys are not all the same. If the standard key does not suit your radiator, or you are matching a key you already have, this pattern gives you another option. Bring the old key or a photo of the valve to the counter if you are unsure. Keep one in a drawer near the boiler, because they always go missing just when the heating needs bleeding.

Common Questions
What is a clockwise pattern bleed key?
It is a different pattern of radiator key, sold alongside the standard one. Bring your old key or a photo of the vent if you are unsure which suits.
Why do my radiators keep filling with air?
Constant air points to a fault, such as a leak, a faulty auto vent or the pump drawing air. A heating engineer should find the cause.
Should I bleed radiators with the heating on?
No. Turn the heating off and give the rads time to cool, so you are not opening a vent on hot, pumped water. Turn it back on once the vents are closed.
Bleeding radiators in Glasgow tenements and houses
With the heating off, fit the key to the bleed valve and open it slowly with a cloth held underneath. When the air stops and water comes out, close it again without forcing. On a sealed system, the boiler pressure will drop as air leaves, so refill to the pressure in the boiler manual. If radiators need bleeding every week, there is a fault causing air in the system. A heating engineer should look at it.
