How Rothenberger smoke pellets help
When there is a smell of drains in a house but no obvious leak, smoke testing finds it fast. Seal the system, light a pellet at a low point, and the smoke follows the pipework and escapes through any gap. You can then see the cracked joint, the loose pan connector or the open pipe end. The same idea works when checking flues and chimneys for leaks.
