A 1/2 inch shock arrestor with a 0.16 litre chamber, for curing water hammer at taps and appliances.
Water hammer is the bang you hear when a valve shuts fast, often from a washing machine, dishwasher or lever tap. A shock arrestor takes up that surge so the pipes stop knocking.

Common Questions
Where do I fit a shock arrestor?
As close as you can to the valve that causes the bang, on the supply side.
Will a shock arrestor stop all pipe noise?
It stops water hammer from fast closing valves. Loose pipes rattling in their clips need clipping, and high pressure may need a pressure reducing valve.
Does it need servicing?
No. Fit it and forget it.
