A Solder Ring Full Crossover is a cranked length of copper with Solder Ring sockets on both ends. Fitted into a pipe, it rises up in the middle and comes back down, so it can pass over another pipe running across it.
When to fit a Solder Ring Full Crossover
Under floors and along skirting, flow, return and cold feeds often have to cross each other. Without a crossover, you would need to bend a set into the pipe or use four elbows. This fitting does it in one piece and keeps both ends on the same line. It is a straight two ended fitting, not a junction, so the pipes do not connect.

Measure where the crossing sits before cutting out a section for the crossover. Clean and flux both pipe ends, push the fitting on and heat each socket in turn until the solder shows. Common Questions
Full crossover or part crossover: which do I need?
A full crossover has sockets at each end and sits in a straight run. The part version swaps one socket for a spigot, letting it plug directly into a fitting.
Where are crossovers used?
Mainly in airing cupboards, under floors and round boilers, where flow and return pipes cross. The crank keeps both pipes in the same plane either side of the crossing.
How much clearance does a crossover give?
Enough to clear a pipe of the same size, but check the fitting in hand against the pipe it must pass over before soldering.
