Description

The Tectite Sprint Reducing Connector joins two pipes of different sizes in a straight line, for example where a 22mm main drops down to 15mm for a branch.

Sizes: 15mm x 10mm, 22mm x 15mm, 28mm x 15mm, 35mm x 28mm and 28mm x 22mm.

Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push it home until it stops. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the Push-Fit end. Use a pipe insert with plastic pipe.

Common Questions

How do you fit a Tectite Sprint fitting?
Cut the pipe square with a pipe slice, deburr it, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in until it bottoms out. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting.

How do you remove a Tectite Sprint fitting?
Drain the pipe first, then use the Tectite demounting tool to release the grip ring and pull the pipe out. Check the O-ring and pipe end before you push it back in.

Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or polybutylene pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.

Can Tectite Sprint go on central heating?
Yes. Pegler list it for drinking water, heating and cooling pipework.
