Washing Machine Check Valve 15mm

The Washing Machine Check Valve is an appliance shut off valve with a check valve inside. The 15mm pipe goes in one end, the machine hose screws onto the 3/4″ outlet, and the check stops water flowing back the other way.

Why fit a Washing Machine Check Valve

Washing machines and dishwashers connect straight to the mains, and backflow from an appliance is something the water rules care about. Having the check built into the valve gives you isolation and backflow protection in a single fitting. That keeps the space behind the machine tidy and leaves fewer joints to leak.

Fit it where you can reach the handle without pulling the machine out, for example through the next cupboard. Check the hose washer is in before screwing the hose on.
