An Xpress Yorkshire Press-Fit Copper Male Union Adaptor joins copper tube to a female threaded fitting through a union, so the joint can be split later without cutting pipe. The press end goes on the copper, and the other side carries a male BSP thread.
What it’s used for
Unions earn their keep anywhere you’ll need to take something off again: pumps, valves, plate heat exchangers, water heaters and meters. Thread the male end into the kit, press the copper into the other end, and the union nut lets you break the joint for servicing or replacement.
As an Xpress copper fitting, it is meant for water, heating and chilled water, never gas.

Fitting tips
Do the threaded side first, using PTFE tape or a thread sealant that suits the system, then press the copper last so the pressed joint is never twisted. Cut the tube square, deburr it, and mark the insertion depth.
