FloPlast Solvent Weld Waste Pipe 50mm

When a waste has to carry more than one appliance, FloPlast Solvent Weld Waste Pipe 50mm gives the extra capacity. It’s the 50mm ABS pipe from FloPlast’s Solvent Weld waste range, made in 3m lengths.

Common jobs include long kitchen runs, utility rooms with a sink, washing machine and dishwasher, washrooms with a row of basins, and small commercial kitchens. You’d also upsize to 50mm on a long horizontal run where a 40mm would be pushed to keep up. Fittings are Solvent Welded for a permanent joint.

FloPlast Solvent Weld Waste Pipe 50mm sizes

• 50mm x 1m
• 50mm x 2m
• 50mm x 3m, FloPlast’s standard length

Colour options listed for 50mm: white, black and grey.

Bigger pipe means bigger joints, so the SC250 tin of FloPlast cement makes sense over the 125ml one. A square cut matters more at 50mm, otherwise you get a gap on one side of the socket. Plan an access plug or access bend on long kitchen runs, because fat builds up over time. Use reducers to bring 32mm or 40mm branches in, and keep the fall consistent.

Common Questions

When do I need 50mm waste instead of 40mm?

Go to 50mm on long horizontal runs or where one pipe takes a sink, washing machine and dishwasher together. It gives more room for the flow and for fat build up.

Which FloPlast cement should I use on 50mm pipe?

FloPlast list SC125 and SC250 Solvent Cement for this range. On 50mm joints, the larger tin goes further.

Does 50mm waste pipe need rodding access?

It is wise to fit an access plug or access bend on a long kitchen run, so a blockage can be cleared without cutting the pipe.
