Common Questions
What thread is a washing machine hose?
3/4 inch BSP, the same on almost every washing machine and dishwasher sold in the UK.
Can I run two appliances off one valve?
Yes, with a Y connector or a dual appliance valve. Both machines share the supply, so it works best on a decent flow.
Do I need a check valve on a washing machine?
Most new machines have backflow protection built in. On older machines, or if you are unsure, use a valve with a check valve built in.
