Description

The XPress Stainless 90 Degree Bend with two male ends, maker code SS19S, is a 316 stainless steel bend pipe for the XPress Stainless press fit system, and we list it from 22mm to 54mm, for plumbers and mechanical contractors on commercial water and heating work.

Both ends are plain tube ends rather than press sockets, so each one pushes into an XPress Stainless press fitting such as a coupling, tee or valve, which is then pressed. That lets you make a tight change of direction straight off another fitting without cutting a short piece of tube. It’s made of 316L stainless steel, so it suits the same jobs as the rest of the range, from drinking water to heating, chilled water and compressed air.

Pegler’s data lists the SS19S 90 degree in 22mm to 54mm. Check you have the right sockets and tooling for the size: the range uses the M press profile. Mark the insertion depth on each end before you push it in, so you know it’s fully home.

Fittings to go with the XPress Stainless 90 degree bend, such as couplings and tees, are in our Pegler Yorkshire XPress 316 stainless steel press fit range.

Common Questions

What does male x male mean on a press bend? Both ends are plain tube ends, the same diameter as the pipe. They go into the press socket of another fitting rather than being pressed themselves.

Which press jaws do I need for XPress Stainless? XPress uses the M profile, so use M profile jaws or collars of the right size on a compatible press tool. Large sizes need collars rather than standard jaws.

Can XPress Stainless be used on heating? Yes. The maker lists heating and chilled water among its uses, up to 16 bar and 135°C.

Can I mix stainless and copper XPress fittings? Use stainless fittings on stainless tube. Copper and stainless are separate ranges with different materials and approvals.
