Tectite Sprint Reducing Tee 22mm to 28mm

The Tectite Sprint Reducing Tee has two run ends the same size and a smaller branch, so you can take a 15mm feed off a 22mm run without an extra reducer.

Sizes: 22mm x 22mm x 15mm, 28mm x 28mm x 15mm and 28mm x 28mm x 22mm.

Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in with a slight twist until it clicks home. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting and give it a firm pull. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the push-fit end. Sprint joints are permanent: they cannot be taken apart and used again.

Common Questions

How do I read the size?
The first two sizes are the run ends and the last is the branch, so 22mm x 22mm x 15mm takes a 15mm branch off a 22mm run.

Can a Tectite Sprint fitting be taken apart?
No. Sprint fittings are not demountable. Once the pipe is pushed home the joint is permanent, so cut the pipe if you need to change it.

Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or PB plastic pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.

Can Tectite Sprint go on gas?
No. Use it on water, heating and chilled water only.
