Compression DZR Single Part Reducer 22mm to 28mm

Simple and quick to fit, a Compression DZR Single Part Reducer is a one-piece insert that converts the port of a bigger Compression fitting to take a smaller pipe. The DZR brass it is made from holds out against dezincification.

How it works

Where a three-piece set has separate bits, this is a single machined insert. You slide it onto the smaller pipe, put it into the larger fitting in place of the olive, and tighten the existing nut. As the nut goes down, the reducer grips the smaller pipe and seals in the bigger body. Fewer loose parts means it is quicker and there is less to drop under the floor.

The larger fitting must be a Compression fitting of the matching size, with its own nut. Make sure the smaller pipe is cut square, deburred and pushed right through to the internal stop before you tighten. Once it is made, the reducer has bitten onto the pipe, so treat it like an olive: if you take the joint apart, expect to cut back and fit a new one.
