Description

Copper Pipe 67mm is a commercial size for heating mains, plant room work and large water distribution. It is cut in 1m, 2m, 3m and 6m lengths. Check the exact outside size against your fittings before you order.

In schools, care homes and offices, 67mm turns up on heating flow and return mains, low loss headers and incoming cold supplies. Check the print on the tube if a specification names a particular temper.

Copper pipe 67mm lengths

  • Available as a 1m length
  • Or as a 2m length
  • 3m length
  • 6m length

The 67mm lengths are collection only.

Press Fit fittings in 67mm make life easier and keep the torch out of occupied buildings. If you’re brazing or using End Feed, warm the whole fitting evenly and give it time; large bore copper pulls heat away fast. Always cut square, deburr inside, and clean the joint area until it’s bright. Plan changes of direction with elbows and bends, since this size isn’t bent on site. Space heavy brackets closer than you would on 42mm or 54mm.

Reducers to 54mm, gate valves and large bore clips are usually next on the list. See the rest of our copper pipe for every size from 8mm upward.

Common Questions

Is 67mm copper pipe actually 67mm? Not quite, it measures 66.7mm on the outside. Fittings are made to suit that and still sold as 67mm, so check your press jaws match.

Can I bend 67mm copper on site? It’s not a size you’d bend on the job, so allow for elbows and bends at every turn.

What fittings should I use with 67mm copper? Large bore press fittings are the popular choice, being quick and flame free in occupied buildings. Brazed or end feed fittings also work if you take your time with the heat.

Any tips for soldering 67mm pipe? Clean the pipe and fitting until they’re bright, then warm the whole fitting evenly, as a pipe this size soaks up heat fast. Rushing it is the usual reason solder doesn’t run all the way round.

What is 67mm copper used for? It’s a commercial size for heating mains, low loss headers and large cold water supplies in places like schools, offices and care homes. It’s also suitable for gas, which must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

What wall thickness is 67mm copper? Standard UK tube at this size has a 1.2mm wall. Heavier grades exist, so check the marking if a spec asks for one.

How should I support 67mm pipe? Space heavy brackets closer together than you would on smaller bore, as the pipe is heavy once it’s full of water.
