Stelrad Double Panel Double Convector 700mm High Radiator

Made by Stelrad, from their Compact steel panel radiator range.

At 700mm tall, this double panel double convector radiator gets a lot of heat out of a short length of wall. It is a Type 22, also sold as K2, with two panels and convector fins behind each one.

When to go for a 700mm double panel double convector

Taller radiators suit rooms without a window wall to sit under, or spots beside a door where length is limited. Going up instead of along means you can keep the radiator narrow and still heat the room. It works well in kitchens, hallways and older houses with high ceilings and big rooms.

• Height: 700mm
• Lengths: 400mm through 1200mm, then 1400mm, 1600mm, 1800mm and 2000mm
• Two panels and two convectors (Type 22)
• Brackets, top grille, side panels, plugs and vent supplied

A tall, full Type 22 is heavy once it is filled, so use solid fixings and check the wall can take it. Mark the bracket height carefully, because the top of a 700mm radiator should sit below any sill or shelf. Set the pipe tails and valves, then fill and release the air from the top. Go back and bleed again once the system has run. Other heights and valves are in our radiators and accessories range.

Common Questions

Why choose a 700mm double convector?

It packs a lot of heat into a short length, which helps on inside walls and in big rooms with little free wall.

Will a 700mm radiator fit under a sill?

Rarely, so it is usually for walls without a window. Measure carefully if you hope to fit it under one.

What fixings suit a heavy 700mm Type 22?

Solid masonry plugs and screws, or studs on a timber wall. Plasterboard alone will not hold it once filled.
