In tight corners, the End Feed 90 Degree Street Elbow lets you go straight from one fitting into a bend with no pipe in between. Its pipe end is a solder socket, and its other end is a plain spigot which slides into the socket of a tee, valve or another elbow.
Why use an End Feed 90 Degree Street Elbow
A street elbow tightens up a layout. For example, under a boiler or behind a cylinder, it lets the pipe turn hard off a tee with almost no gap. It also saves cutting a tiny piece of pipe, which can be awkward to clean and solder.
Clean and flux the spigot, the socket it goes into and the pipe end. Heat evenly, feed in solder wire until it runs round each joint, and leave to cool.

Common Questions
Why use a 90 degree street elbow instead of an ordinary one?
No fiddly stub of pipe to cut, clean and solder. The turn butts right up to the tee or valve it plugs into.
Does the spigot need cleaning and fluxing too?
Yes. Treat the spigot exactly like a pipe end: clean it bright, flux it, and push it fully into the socket.
Are the big sizes soldered the same way?
Yes, but sizes from 54mm up hold a lot of heat. Use a larger torch or two, and heat the whole fitting evenly before feeding solder.
