The End Feed Straight Tap Connector solders onto copper and screws onto a tap tail in a straight line. Sizes 15mm x 1/2″, 15mm x 3/4″ and 22mm x 3/4″, all three kept by Plumb Parts in Glasgow.

When a supply pipe rises straight up to a tap, an End Feed Straight Tap Connector makes the link. The copper solders into one end, and the other end carries a nut sized for the tap’s threaded tail.
Choosing an End Feed Straight Tap Connector
Match the thread to the tap tail. 15mm x 1/2″ suits most basin and sink taps. 15mm x 3/4″ lets you run 15mm pipe to a tap with a 3/4″ tail, for example some bath taps. 22mm x 3/4″ gives full flow to bath taps on a 22mm feed.
Solder the pipe into the connector before you do the nut up on the tap, so heat does not reach the tap body or the washer. Then fit the washer, screw the nut onto the tail and tighten it gently. Too much force can crack a ceramic basin or twist the tap.

Common Questions
End Feed tap connector: can I solder it on the tap?
Better not. Solder the pipe into the connector away from the tap, then fit the washer and tighten the nut once cool.
Which size for a bath on 22mm pipe?
The 22mm x 3/4″, which keeps full flow to a bath tap with a 3/4″ tail.
Why does the tap nut leak?
Usually a missing or misplaced washer, or a cross threaded nut. Refit with a new washer and start the nut by hand.
