The End Feed Male Iron Connector is a straight coupler with a solder socket at one end and a male BSP thread at the other, in sizes from 8mm x 1/4″ up to 108mm x 4″.
Where it goes
Male iron is the old trade term for a male pipe thread. Use one to join copper to a threaded valve, pump, steel barrel or female socket.

Fitting tips
Where you can, solder the copper first and let it cool before sealing the thread with PTFE tape or paste, so heat does not spoil the seal. Clean and flux, heat the fitting, and feed solder until a full ring shows.

What is a male iron connector?
It is a coupler with a male pipe thread on one end. The name dates from iron barrel days.
Which size do I need?
Match the copper to your pipe and the thread to the female fitting. 15mm x 1/2″ is the common domestic size.
What do I seal the thread with?
PTFE tape or a suitable thread paste. Gas work needs a Gas Safe registered engineer.
