A female brass back plate M10 screws to a wall or ceiling and takes M10 threaded rod or a male stud, giving a neat brass anchor for munsen rings on copper pipe. Sold at Plumb Parts in Glasgow.
The female brass back plate M10 has a threaded socket in the middle, so M10 rod or a male stud screws into it. It forms the wall end of a brass munsen ring support.
What the female brass back plate M10 is for
Use it to fix brass munsen rings to a wall, ceiling or timber. For pipe close to the wall, screw a short M10 stud into the plate and run the ring on. To hang pipe lower, use a longer length of M10 threaded rod. Brass keeps the finish consistent with brass rings, and it will not rust on hot or damp runs.

Check whether your ring has a male or female boss before buying, because that decides whether you need a female plate with a stud, or a male plate. If you get it wrong, the parts will not join without an adaptor. Screw the plate down firmly with fixings suited to the surface. On tiles, drill slowly with a tile bit so you do not crack the glaze. Set all plates on a straight line so the pipe sits square. Male plates and rings are listed under munsen rings.
