FloPlast 110mm Plain Soil Pipe

FloPlast 110mm Plain Soil Pipe is PVC-U soil pipe with no socket on either end, for above ground soil stacks and branch runs from a WC. It joins with FloPlast Ring Seal fittings, which push on over the plain ends.

With no socket to work around, you can cut from either end and use almost every bit of the length. That suits stacks with a lot of fittings close together, where short pieces join a branch, a boss and an access pipe. It is also light and easy to carry up a ladder, unlike old cast iron. The PVC-U copes with hot waste discharge from appliances as well as WC waste.

• Diameter: 110mm
• Lengths: 3m or 4m
• Colours: white, black or grey, to match the fittings and the building
• Joins with FloPlast Push Fit Ring Seal fittings

Fitting tips for FloPlast 110mm plain soil pipe

Cut square with a fine-tooth saw and take the burr off. Then file a small chamfer round the outside so the pipe slides past the seal instead of pushing it out. Use silicone lubricant, push the pipe fully into the socket and pull it back slightly to leave room for expansion. Pick a colour that matches the rest of the stack, because grey, black and white fittings do not mix well on show. Bends, branches and clips are in our waste and soil pipe range.

Common Questions

How do I cut 110mm soil pipe straight?

Wrap a strip of paper round the pipe as a guide, mark along it and cut with a fine-tooth saw. File a chamfer on the outside so it slides past the seal.

Why leave an expansion gap in soil pipe joints?

PVC-U grows as hot waste runs through it. Drawing the pipe back a little from the socket stops the joints being forced apart.

Can I mix colours on a FloPlast stack?

They fit together, but grey, black and white look odd side by side. Keep one colour on any part that is on show.
