The 110mm 87.5 Degree Triple Socket Equal Junction is a push-fit underground tee junction with three 110mm ring seal sockets, for bringing a branch into a main drain at close to a right angle. Collect from our Glasgow shop at 555 South Street G14 0QX.

Description

Our 110mm 87.5 Degree Triple Socket Equal Junction is the underground tee, with all three legs 110mm ring seal sockets and the branch coming in at 87.5 degrees, for plumbers and groundworkers connecting a branch into a main drain where space is tight.

The branch is just off square, so there’s still a little fall through the joint. It’s the one to reach for when a branch has to come straight in from the side, such as a soil stack dropping into a run along the back wall. With a socket on every leg, plain pipe pushes into each, and a spigot fitting such as a bend plugs directly into the branch.

Where you have room, a 45 degree Y junction gives a smoother flow and is kinder to the drain. Lay the junction so the main sockets run in line with the fall, chamfer and lubricate each pipe end, and support the fitting fully in granular bedding.

Pipe, bends and socket plugs for the 110mm 87.5 Degree Triple Socket Equal Junction are in our soil and underground pipe and fittings range.

Common Questions

When should I use an 87.5 degree junction? Where the branch has to come in from the side in a tight space. If there’s room, a 45 degree junction gives a smoother join.

Is the branch the same size as the main? Yes, it’s an equal junction, so all three legs are 110mm.

How do I cut 110mm drainage pipe square? Wrap a sheet of paper or tape round the pipe as a guide line and cut with a fine-toothed saw. File off the burr and chamfer the outside edge so it doesn’t push the seal out of its seat.

Do I need access for rodding? Yes, plan an inspection chamber or access fitting near bends and junctions so the run can be cleared. Building standards want drains to be rodable along their whole length.
