At the foot of a soil stack, the FloPlast Ring Seal 92.5 Deg Access Bend SP169 turns the pipe and gives you a removable access door in the same fitting. It suits 110mm Ring Seal soil pipe.
Why fit the FloPlast Ring Seal 92.5 Deg Access Bend SP169
The bottom of a stack is where blockages tend to build up, and it is also where a drain rod needs to get in. With an access bend, the rodding door sits exactly where it is wanted, without a separate access pipe taking up space.
Turn the access door so it faces somewhere it can be reached once the job is finished, not into a wall or under a floor. Chamfer cut pipe ends, lubricate with silicone and push the joints fully home.
Fit the door seal carefully and tighten its fixings evenly, so it does not leak under test.
Clip the stack firmly above the bend, since this fitting carries the weight of the pipe above.

Common Questions
Why put the access door at the foot of the stack?
Blockages tend to build up at the bottom, and that is where a rod needs to go in. The SP169 puts the door exactly there without a separate access pipe.
What should be checked on the access door before a test?
Make sure the door seal is clean and sitting flat. Work round the fixings evenly so the door pulls down square and does not leak under test.
Does the SP169 need extra support?
Yes, it carries the weight of the stack above. Bracket the pipe firmly just above the bend so the fitting is not pushed down.
