Up on the roof, the FloPlast Ring Seal Weathering Collar SP300 is the small skirt that sits round a 110mm soil pipe where it comes up through the roof. Rain running down the vent pipe is thrown out onto the flashing instead of tracking down into the hole.
Fitting the FloPlast Ring Seal Weathering Collar SP300
Once the stack is through the roof and the slate or flashing is dressed round it, the collar slides down the pipe and sits over the top of that upstand. It suits 110mm soil and vent pipe.
Do the flashing first. If you fit the collar and then try to work lead round it, you will be fighting it all afternoon. Push it down so it laps the upstand properly, with no gap for wind-driven rain.
It is a cheap part, but leave it off and you will be back up the ladder chasing a damp patch on the bathroom ceiling.
Finish the top of the stack with a vent terminal to keep birds and leaves out.

Common Questions
When does the weathering collar go on?
After the flashing or weathering slate is dressed round the pipe. The collar slides down and sits over the top of that upstand.
What does the SP300 actually do?
It throws rain running down the pipe out onto the flashing. Water then does not track into the hole in the roof.
Is it worth fitting on a short vent?
Yes. It is a small part, but leaving it off is a common cause of damp patches round a soil pipe.
