Many basin wastes reach the stack via the FloPlast Rubber Boss Adapter SP10. It is a black rubber Push-Fit adaptor that fits a boss on the stack and grips a 32mm waste pipe.
Using the FloPlast Rubber Boss Adapter SP10
Push the adaptor into the boss, then push the 32mm basin waste into the adaptor. That is the connection made, with no solvent and no waiting. It suits bathroom refits where a new basin goes onto an existing stack with a strap boss, or new builds with boss pipes already in place.
Wipe silicone lubricant round the adaptor before fitting, and chamfer the pipe end. Do not cement the pipe into the rubber. It does not need it, and solvent will not bond to rubber anyway.
Basin wastes can siphon their traps if they are long or steep, so keep the run into the boss short with a gentle fall.
The joint can be pulled apart later, handy when the basin is changed.

Common Questions
Will the SP10 take ABS pipe as well as Push-Fit?
Yes. FloPlast say the rubber adaptor gives a straight Push-Fit connection to Push-Fit or Solvent Weld waste.
Can I glue the basin waste into the rubber?
No, solvent does nothing on rubber. Lubricate the pipe and push it in.
What hole size does the boss need?
FloPlast give 54 millimetres for their boss adaptors. Clean the edge so the rubber seals.
