The FloPlast Rubber Boss Adapter SP12 takes a 50mm pipe into a soil stack boss. It is a black rubber Push-Fit adaptor, so the joint is made without solvent.

Fifty mil wastes serve utility rooms, catering sinks and runs that pick up several appliances. Where the waste meets the stack, this adaptor gives a quick, secure connection that can be undone later.

Lubricate the adaptor with silicone and push it into the boss. Chamfer the 50mm pipe and push it fully into the adaptor. Do not use solvent on rubber.

A full 50mm pipe is heavy, so clip it close to the stack so it does not drag on the adaptor.

Keep a good fall on the run, and fit an access point upstream for clearing grease. On a commercial kitchen run, check the joint after the first busy service, as hot greasy water is the real test.
