FloPlast Universal Compression Tee – WC22 32mm

Glue-free branching on basin wastes comes from the FloPlast Universal Compression Tee, which joins a 32mm branch into a 32mm waste using Compression nuts and seals. It is the WC22, and it needs no solvent cement.

Where the FloPlast Universal Compression Tee is handy

Use it to tee two basins together, link a bidet into a basin waste, or join onto an old run where you cannot tell what the pipe is made of. Compression joints grip the pipe with a seal, so they are forgiving on older work.

Square off each pipe end and remove burrs. Slide the nut and seal onto each pipe, push the pipe fully into the tee and tighten by hand, then a little more.

Plan the levels first, so both branches fall towards the outlet. Clip each leg near the tee.

Because the tee can be undone, it is also a handy point to get into the pipe if it blocks. Check every nut with the basin full and draining, and give any weeping nut a small extra turn.

Is the WC22 an equal tee?

Yes, all three ends are 32mm. If the main run is 40mm, use the 40mm WC23 or a reducer on the branch.

How do I stop a weeping Compression joint?

Undo the nut, check the pipe is cut square and pushed fully to the stop, and that the seal is sitting straight. Then retighten by hand plus a small turn; more force usually makes it worse.

Can the tee connect to copper waste pipe?

FloPlast say their Compression waste takes plastic and copper waste pipe of the right size. Clean the copper end and take off any burr first.
