FloPlast Universal Compression Tee – WC23 40mm

Joining two 40mm wastes without glue is easy with the FloPlast Universal Compression Tee WC23. There is a nut and rubber seal on every leg.

Using the FloPlast Universal Compression Tee WC23

Run a sink and dishwasher into one waste, connect a bath and shower, or tie a new waste into an old run. Compression joints suit older pipework, and they can be taken apart later.

Cut and deburr the pipe ends. Fit nut and seal, push each pipe in to the stop, and tighten firmly by hand with a small extra turn.

Make sure both branches fall towards the outlet. Clip near the tee so the weight of the pipes does not pull on the joints.

Check every nut with water running before closing up the sink unit or bath panel. If a seal weeps, back the nut off, check the pipe is fully home and the seal is square, then retighten. Leave access to the tee where you can, since Compression joints are easy to service later.

Common Questions

Can a dishwasher and sink share a waste through a tee?

Often yes, using a 40mm tee like the WC23 below the sink trap or an appliance trap. The dishwasher must still discharge through a trap, and the tee should join so both flows head downhill.

Can the WC23 be reused?

Yes. Because nothing is glued, the tee can come off and go back on, but check the seals are not split or flattened before you refit it.

What tool do I need to fit it?

Just a pipe cutter or fine saw and a deburring tool. The nuts are made to be done up by hand.
