The Heated Curved Chrome Towel Rail 500mm x 1000mm sits right in the middle of our curved chrome range. It’s not too wide and not too tall, and it suits most standard bathrooms. The ladder bars curve forward off the wall, giving towels a bit of air behind them.

Where it suits

This is the size people tend to go for when swapping out a tired white towel rail. 500mm wide fits beside most basins and baths, and 1000mm tall gives enough bars for a couple of bath towels and a hand towel.

Chrome looks smart but gives off less heat than white painted steel of the same size. For a bathroom with other heat, that’s fine. If it is the only heat source, check that it will be enough.

Fitting tips

• Check the pipe centres on the rail and line your tails up to them.
• Pick valves to suit: angled for pipes from the wall, straight for pipes from the floor.
• Level the brackets carefully and use fixings that suit the wall.
• Fill, bleed, and check for weeps at the valve tails before you walk away.
• Wipe the chrome with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners that dull the finish.
