Universal Radiator Brackets in a pack of 4, for hanging panel radiators where the old brackets do not suit the new rad. Four brackets will usually hang two standard radiators. Sold at Plumb Parts in Glasgow.
These Universal Radiator Brackets come in a pack of 4 and carry steel panel radiators on the wall. Two brackets normally hold one standard rad, so the pack does a pair of radiators or one long rad that needs a middle support.
Where it goes
Brackets from the old radiator rarely line up with a new one from another maker. Universal brackets get round that because they take a spread of panel types, so they are handy on rad swaps, room refits and new runs where the old fixings are no use.

Fitting tips
Measure the bracket positions from the radiator itself, not from old holes in the wall. Use a spirit level, and give the rad a slight rise towards the bleed end so air gathers at the vent. Pick fixings to suit the wall: plasterboard needs proper cavity fixings or a timber noggin, while brick and sandstone take plugs and screws. A full radiator is heavy, so use decent screws. Fixings are not included.

How many brackets does a radiator need?
Most standard panel rads hang on two brackets. Longer radiators often need a third in the middle, so check the maker’s fitting sheet.
Do these brackets come with screws and plugs?
Plan to supply your own fixings to suit the wall. Plasterboard, brick and stone all need different fixings.
Will universal brackets fit any radiator?
They suit most single and double panel radiators. Designer, column and towel rails usually come with their own brackets, so check before you buy.
