Hep2O 90 Deg Equal Elbow 10mm to 28mm

The Hep2O 90 Deg Equal Elbow turns a run of pipe through a right angle, with the same size at both ends. The Hep2O 15mm elbow is the one most people want for hot and cold feeds round a house. We also list 10mm for microbore radiator feeds, 22mm for heating and main runs, and 28mm for larger supplies.

Both ends are push-fit sockets. They take Hep2O polybutylene pipe with a SmartSleeve insert pushed into the pipe end, or copper pipe to BS EN 1057 with no insert. Cut the pipe square, fit the insert, mark the insertion depth and push the pipe in until it reaches the stop. A tug on the pipe tells you it has gripped. No heat, flux or spanners, so it is quick in a loft or under a floor.

How do I fit a Hep2O push-fit elbow? Cut the pipe square, push a SmartSleeve insert into plastic pipe, mark the insertion depth and push it in until it hits the stop. Give it a tug to check it’s gripped; copper goes in the same way without an insert.

How long do Hep2O push-fit fittings last? They come with a 50 year guarantee against defects in materials and manufacture, as long as they’re installed properly.

Will the Hep2O elbow fit copper pipe? Yes, it takes copper pipe to BS EN 1057 in the matching size, with no insert needed. Take off any burr first so it doesn’t cut the seal.

Can the Hep2O elbow go on central heating? Yes, it’s fine on domestic heating, including pressurised systems and combi boilers, as well as hot and cold water. It isn’t for gas, fuel oil or compressed air.

How do I cut Hep2O pipe? Use a proper plastic pipe cutter for a clean, square end. A hacksaw tends to leave burrs and an angled cut that can damage the seal.
