Every home needs a main stop valve that works, and the Hep2O Stop Cock gives you one on plastic pipe. It is a screw-down valve with a crutch handle, fitted where the cold supply comes into the house, so the whole property can be shut off in an emergency.
Fitting a Hep2O Stop Cock
Fit it with the flow in the direction of the arrow on the body, because a stop cock only seals properly one way. Each plastic pipe end gets a sleeve before it goes in. Clip the pipe firmly either side, so turning the handle does not strain the joints.
15mm suits most flats and smaller houses. 22mm gives a better flow on bigger houses or where the supply has been upgraded. Fit it where it is easy to find and reach, for example under the kitchen sink, and make sure everyone in the house knows where it is.
Other valves are in our Hep2O fittings range.

Common Questions
Can a Hep2O stop cock go on hot water?
Hep2O list it as cold water only, so keep it on the incoming main or cold feeds.
How often should I test a stop cock?
Turn it off and back on once or twice a year so it does not seize, and so you know it works.
What if the stop cock will not shut fully?
The washer may be worn. Fit a new one or replace the valve, and in an emergency use the outside stop valve in the pavement.
