Pipe that rises straight up to a tap needs a Hep2O Straight Tap Connector. The pipe pushes into its lower socket, and the nut on top goes onto the tap tail.
Sizing a Hep2O Straight Tap Connector
Most basin and kitchen taps have 1/2″ tails, so 15mm x 1/2″ is the common pick. For a tap with a 3/4″ tail on a 15mm feed, choose 15mm x 3/4″. Where a bath tap is fed in 22mm for a faster fill, 22mm x 3/4″ is the one.
Seat the washer in the nut, screw it onto the tail and tighten gently, holding the tap still so it does not turn on the basin. Then sleeve the pipe and push it into the socket until it locks. Leave a little slack in the pipe below, so the joint is not pulling on the tap. An isolating valve just below makes future tap changes far quicker.

Common Questions
Does the straight connector come with a washer?
Yes, Hep2O supply it with a brass nut and an alternative rubber washer.
Can I use it on a 3/4″ bath tap with 15mm pipe?
Yes, the 15mm x 3/4″ size does that, though 22mm gives a quicker fill.
Can I tighten the nut with grips?
Use a basin wrench or spanner, and go gently. Grips can crush the nut and mark the tap.
