Common Questions

Why fit a double check valve?

It stops water flowing back into the supply, which the Water Regulations require on many appliances and outside taps.

Can it protect against all risks?

No, only fluid categories 1, 2 and 3. Higher risk needs other protection.

Which way round does it go?

The arrow cast on the valve has to point downstream, away from the supply. Fitted backwards it will stop the water altogether.
