With the JG Speedfit Remote Probe and Sensor, a JG underfloor heating thermostat can take its reading from somewhere other than the stat itself. You can choose the probe or the white sensor box from the options.

What the remote probe and sensor are used for

Wet rooms and bathrooms are the classic case. Moisture is a problem for a wall thermostat in a spray zone, so the stat goes outside the room and the sensor does the work inside. The other job is floor protection. Some floor finishes can be damaged if the floor overheats, and a probe in the floor helps the controls keep it in check.

Tips

Check that your thermostat model accepts a remote probe before ordering, and follow its instructions for wiring and set-up.
