MT DRAW OFF COCK TYPE A CAPILLARY DZR

Made in DZR brass, the MT Draw Off Cock Type A Capillary DZR is a drain valve that solders onto 15mm copper pipe. DZR stands for dezincification resistant. Some water slowly pulls the zinc out of ordinary brass, leaving it weak and porous, and DZR brass is made to stand up to that.

Why pick the MT Draw Off Cock Type A Capillary DZR

Choose DZR where a fitting will sit in water for years, for example on a cold main, under a cylinder or on a buried or boxed-in section. It is the same drain cock in use as the standard capillary version, just in a tougher alloy for those conditions.

Solder it in at the lowest point of the pipework, with the outlet where a hose can reach. Clean and flux both surfaces, heat evenly and keep the flame mainly on the joint, not the spindle. Once cool, check the spindle turns freely.
