Description

Pegler XPress Press-Fit Copper 90 Deg Bend (Male)

This is a 90 degree male bend for water and heating copper, in 15mm, 22mm and 28mm. One leg presses onto tube and the other is a plain male end.

The male leg is sized like tube and goes straight into the socket of a second Xpress fitting. The bend sweeps more gently than a tight elbow, so water meets less resistance, which can help on a busy primary run. Larger sizes are not listed; use an equal elbow from the same range there.

The Pegler XPress Press-Fit Fittings we hold at Plumb Parts cover 15mm to 108mm.

The same system also covers these fitting types: Copper Straight Couplers, Copper Reducing Couplers, Copper Straight Coupling Slips, Copper Straight Female Connectors, Copper Straight Male Connectors, Copper Male Reducers, Copper Female Adaptors, Copper Male Adaptors, Copper Union Coupling, Copper Equal Elbows, Copper Reduced Elbows, Copper Street Elbows, Copper Knuckle Elbows, Copper Male Elbows, Copper Female Elbows, Copper Back plate Elbows, Copper Long Pattern BackPlate Elbows, Copper 90deg Bends, Copper Obtuse Elbows, Copper Obtuse Street Elbows, Copper Crossover, Copper Partial Crossovers, Copper Full Crossovers, Copper Equal Tees, Copper Reduced Branch tees, Copper One End Reduced Tees, Copper One End Reduced And End Branch reduced Tees, Copper Both End Reduced Tees, Copper Female Branch Tees, Copper Multi Port Female Branch Tees, Copper Stop Ends, Copper Unions, Copper Straight Male Union Connectors, Copper Straight Female Union Connectors.

For domestic, commercial or industrial pipework, Xpress copper is a tidy all-round system: rapid joints, no naked flame, and matching fittings for the whole run.

Highlights of the system

  • Suitable for service from -20°C to 110°C
  • A 16 bar rating applies at any temperature within the range
  • With Leak Before Press, a fitting left unpressed will leak on test, so it cannot be missed
  • Carries the BSI Kitemark to BS 8537:2010
  • Backed by a wide spread of British and overseas approvals
  • Rapid jointing cuts labour and time compared with the traditional way
  • Because there is no heat, no hot works permit or insurance cover is needed

Common Questions

What makes this a male bend?

One leg presses onto copper tube, the other is a plain male end sized like tube. That male leg goes straight into the socket of a second Xpress fitting.

Bend or elbow on a heating flow?

The bend has a gentler sweep than a tight elbow, so water turns the corner with less resistance. On a busy primary run that small gain can help.

Is the bend made in bigger sizes?

We list it in 15mm, 22mm and 28mm only. Larger tube sizes use an equal elbow from the same Xpress range instead.
