Pegler XPress Press-Fit Straight Coupling Slip
This is a straight coupling slip for water and heating copper, with Press Fit ends and no tube stop inside. Sizes are 15mm, 22mm, 28mm, 35mm, 42mm, 54mm, 66.7mm, 76.1mm, 88.9mm and 108mm.
With no stop, it slides along the tube, which makes it the one for repairs on existing copper where the ends are fixed and cannot be pulled apart. Mark the insertion depth on both ends first, slide it back over the gap until both marks show at the fitting mouths, and press. On new work a standard coupling with a stop is quicker to place.

Common Questions
What is a slip coupling? It’s a straight fitting that joins two lengths of the same size tube end to end. It’s especially handy for closing a gap in an existing run.
When should I use a slip coupling? Use one when you’re repairing or altering an existing copper run and need to fill a gap without springing the pipes apart.
How do I install a slip coupling? Cut the tube ends square, deburr them and mark the insertion depth, then press with the matching XPress jaws. Check the depth marks before you press.
Do I need heat to fit an XPress coupling? No, XPress is jointed by pressing, so there’s no flame needed on the job and no hot works permit.
Can the coupling slip be used on drinking water? Yes, it’s WRAS approved for hot and cold water, and it also suits heating and chilled water. It’s not for gas.
What pressure and temperature is it rated to? It’s rated to 16 bar and works from -20°C to +110°C.
